Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition will receive and transfer you to your hotel. After you are greeted with welcome drinks at the hotel, we will have to quick meeting to discuss the necessary formalities regarding your trip. You can then check in to your room, freshen up and rest. Or if you are not one of those “lay back” types, you can take a stroll around the vicinity of your hotel and get the feel of this hyperactive capital city of Nepal. On the streets, people seem to be on sheer rush, barely noticing one another, but if you utter “Namaste”, they will definitely reciprocate with a smile; well that’s Nepal’s culture. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)

A short stroll in the evening yesterday might not have acquainted you with Kathmandu. So we want to make sure that you know this city as you know yourself. Once done with your breakfast, let’s hop in to our reserved vehicle and then on for a comfy ride with one of our experienced city guides. You will be visiting the most renowned historical/cultural landmarks in Kathmandu. Our guide will take you to the Pashupatinath Temple (the most revered Hindu shrine), Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square. All these sites are enlisted in the UNESCO world’s heritage list. After this informative and interesting tour, we drive back through the busy and noisy streets of Kathmandu to the serene premises of your hotel. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi & raft from Charaudi to Kurintar

After a succulent breakfast at the hotel, we head on for approx. 4 Hrs drive to Charaudi, our “raft put-in point”. We attend a short briefing from a river expert and then gear up for the real action. Abiding by the instructions of our river guide, we venture into the Trishuli River, portraying ourselves mettlesome enough to surmount any menacing rapid we encounter ahead. The day’s trip wraps up at Kurintar. We set up a camp at one of the finest locations, on the bank of the roaring Trishuli. We will stay overnight at Tent in Kurintar.

Day 04: Raft from Kurintar to Simaltar

On this last day of our short rafting trip, we consistently battle the challenging rapids like- Twin Rock, Ladies Delight and Scout Upset, until we finally arrive at Simaltar, where this pulsating water fiesta concludes. We set up a camp by the side of the river and take a short stroll witnessing the fascinating environment. In the evening, we all gather up for a bonfire and then let ourselves into some singing and dancing, just to celebrate the successful accomplishment of our trip. Roaring River, ecstatic teammates, and a bonfire under the canopy of a night sky dotted with twinkling gems. All make our celebration utterly special. We will stay overnight at Tent in Simaltar.

Day 05: Drive from Simaltar to Kathmandu

After early breakfast in the pristine riverside milieu, we set off for a drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your designated hotel, where you can freshen up and relax for some time. You would probably want to remain time shopping for souvenirs. Thamel is the place which is literally crammed with the souvenir stores. Pick something for your loved ones because they would certainly expect a bit more than just interesting trip anecdotes when you get back home.

The fun is not yet over; we have saved the best for the last, in the evening, Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition will host a full-fledged Nepal style farewell dinner. Enjoy the mouthwatering range of traditional Nepali cuisines, simultaneously relishing an enticing cultural show, being performed live, right in front of you. Enjoy to the fullest and sleep tight. We will stay overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 06: Final departure to your homeland

Unless you intend to extend your trip to try out some of our other holiday packages, this would be your last day in Nepal. A representative from Swagat Holiday Treks will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport for your flight back home. We are definitely going to miss you because you had come here as a tourist, but you are going back as a friend. Have a safe flight back home and we look forward to being your travel companion in Nepal again

• Government license holder experienced rafting guide ( trained in wilderness first aid & altitude sickness)

• Tented camp during the rafting

• Three-time Meal (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) during the rafting.

• Group Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available)

• Local transportation to and from the starting and ending points of rafting by tourist bus/Private Car/ Van depends on the group size.

• Necessary equipment as high-quality self-bailing rafts, lifejackets, helmets, plastic paddles, wetsuits (only during the winter) on certain rivers

• Any services in Kathmandu.

• Mineral water, Alcoholic, hot and cold drinks during the whole trip

• Hotel accommodations & meals if you stay anywhere at the hotel for the whole trip.

Note: The itinerary prescribed above is the standard template of the trip plan offered by Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition which can be readily customized to match the guest’s preferences. However, the guests are expected to understand that the execution of the trip plan might be circumvented by an array of uncontrollable factors like bad weather, political turmoil, strikes, blockades, and other unforeseen contingencies. Besides, the domestic flights in Nepal could be subjected to delays or cancellations owing to adverse weather conditions or technical glitches. It is worth mentioning that the flights cannot be operated in the condition where the visibility is less than 1600 meters. Under such abnormal circumstances, the trip plans might undergo slight or sharp alternation, taking into consideration the best interest of the clients. Wherever the changes are made, Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition cannot be held responsible for the consequences. Nevertheless, we shall endeavor our level best to make sure that the trip is carried out with respect to the original trip specifics.

The accompaniment of a skilled rafting guide shall ensure your safety. If you are not a confident swimmer or not so accustomed to water sport, we can provide you with life jackets.
