There are four main seasons in Nepal, namely, summer, winter, spring, and autumn. The best time for this trek is in the spring (March, April, May), and autumn seasons (September, October, November)

Spring (March, April & May)
Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in Nepal. During spring, the flowers start to bloom and the forest turns green. It is one of the best seasons to visit Nepal where you see the natural beauty of Nepal even more vividly.
The Everest region is full of trekkers during the spring season. The temperature is comparatively warmer than autumn and winter in the Everest region. Therefore the weather is suitable for trekking and mountain expedition in this season. Light rainfall may occur during the night this time in late May as it is the pre-monsoon season.

Autumn (September, October, November)
Autumn is one of the best seasons in Nepal for Trekking. Many tourists around the world visit Nepal in the month of September for trekking experience. During Autumn, the weather condition of the Everest region is favorable for trekking and sightseeing. The views of the mountains are clear and beautiful.
The Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass trek is doable all around the year in Nepal. You need to bring proper trekking gear when you trek during the winter and monsoon seasons. During the monsoon season, the trails get muddy and slippery. Likewise during winter, the snow starts to fall as you climb to the higher altitude. However, the trek is doable on all seasons.
